These trace element metals become depleted in marine tanks and need to be replaced. The Iron in our Coral Power Trace-B is at a concentration of 100,000ppm. This bottle of reagent grade ammonium chloride is for use when fishless cycling.
Concentration is 40 mg/ml of total ammonia-nitrogen (TAN).
Dose 4 drops per gallon of aquarium water.* Use with One and Only Nitrifying Bacteria.
Generally during a fishless cycle you need to add ammonium chloride to your tank 3 times so:
a 2 ounce (60 ml) bottle will cycle 100 gallons (359 liters)
a 4 ounce (120 ml) bottle will cycle 200 gallons (757 liters)
a 8 ounce (480 ml) bottle will cycle 400 gallons (1,514 liters)
Some conversions:
1 drop equals 0.05 ml
1 ml equals 20 drops
1 teaspoon equals about 5 ml which is 100 drops
1 tablespoon equals almost 15 ml which is 300 drops
*NOTE: As of November 1, 2016 we changed the concentration of the ammonium chloride solution so it now takes 4 drops per gallon. The previous version called for 1 drop per gallon. AEFW X the solution against Acropora eating flatworms
AEFW X works specifically against Acropora flatworms (“AEFW” and “NAEFW”). The special composition of the product blocks the larval development so that the metamorphosis producing reproductive adults is not accomplished. Adults of these species also stop reproducing and quit further growth.
AEFW X is effective against:
Prosthiostomum acroporae (Acropora eating flatworm)
New AEFW flatworm („NAEFW“)
AEFW X is used inside the reef tank and is reef safe. Other tank inhabitants will not be affected. We recommend a treatment period of at least 4 - 6 weeks to ensure that all existing flatworms have perished. If necessary, this treatment can be continued indefinitely. Please read the HTU AEFW before using AEFW X and follow the application instructions and tips! Usually, infested tanks are free of those flatworms after 4 - 6 weeks. The acroporids are visibly in improved condition, with better mucus secretion and enhanced immune system. The receptiveness for new infections is thus significantly reduced.

DINO X is a very strong and effective solution which removes any hairy or plague type algae growth and dinoflagellates in Reef Tanks. It treats algae outbreaks in reef aquariums without harming any corals.T
Treats heavy algae outbreas: Hair, Bubble, Bryopis, dino, etc. REEF SAFE.
Dosage recommendations and advice:
5 ml Dino X per 100 L (26 gal) of aquarium water
To prevent overdose, it is very important to calculate the exact volume of aquarium water.
For heavy infestations and outbreaks, up to 6ml Dino X per 100 L (26 gal) can be dosed.
High performance skimmer is recommended.
Dosage should be repeated every 2 days until algae is completely eliminated.
A general treatment period cannot be given due to many variables.
Dinoflagellates can usually be treated with 10 dosages.
Other algae can be treated with about 15 doses.
Do not perform water changes during treatment period. Resume water change schedule after 1 week of last Dino X dose.
Do not dose any trace elements during treatment period. Do not dose any mineral salts, amino acids, SPS food, or Balling Light Trace B Elements
Do not use ozone or carbon during treatment period.
Discontinue any kind of absorbing media such as GFO and PO4 removers.
Run Fauna Marin Carb L immediately after last Dino X dose; follow recommended dosing instruction.
Note
Dino X is NOT a treatment for cyano bacteria.
When used correctly, Dino X is harmless to inverts and fish.
Dino X should always be dosed in the evening or 1 hour AFTER main lighting has shut off.Photosynthesis of Zooanthellae algae is discontinued, ultimately allowing for optimal effect of Dino X Main lighting phase should be no longer than 6 hours daily.
Set skimmer to skim wet and run 24/7.
Water parameters can be adjusted with Balling Light or lime water. These do not affect Dino X performance.
Pre-mixed Ca, Alk, Mg, solutions should be used with caution as these often contain additional trace elements.
