Product Description
Pond Salt™ is a chemically sound blend of salts designed to replicate the native ionic environment of goldfish and koi without adversely impacting on pond plants when used at the recommended dosage. It can also be useful to temporarily reduce nitrite toxicity in an emergency situation. It does not impact pH. For pH control, use Pond Acid Buffer™ or Pond pH Buffer™.
Pond Salt™ is more than just a simple sodium chloride product. Other salts can burn leaves and roots in a planted pond. However, Pond Salt™ does not cause this type of damage, and actually provides many nutrients crucial to healthy plant growth. Pond Salt™ is a safe and effective alternative to the sodium chloride based pond salts so prevalent.

Product Description
Pure, pharmaceutical grade sea salt containing all trace elements found in natural seawater.
From (osmosis-) water to seawater. Tropic Marin® Sea Salt CLASSIC is made up of all of the macro elements and trace elements in a natural balance, contained within the ocean, and it is free from artificial additives, nitrates and phosphates. The trace elements remain completely soluble in the mixed crystals. Contains appropriate amounts of bicarbonates which stabilize the aquariums alkalinity and pH.
Tropic Marin® Sea Salt CLASSIC is an ideal foundation for the care and growth of all marine organisms in an aquarium. Use seawater prepared with Tropic Marin® Sea Salt CLASSIC for regular water changes in your seawater aquarium, to start a new aquarium and to re-equilibrate the pH of a tank.
Benefits:
Provides the ideal environment for the care of all marine organisms in the aquarium, including even the most sensitive species.
Contains all major- and minor elements in the exact proportions found in tropical sea water.
To maintain the alkalinity in a 9-10° dKH range.
Stabilizes the pH value.
High solubility in water.
Free from nitrates, phosphates and other unwanted chemicals.
Manufactured from pure, pharmaceutical grade salts, which has the most stringent quality control measures for the production of pharmaceuticals.
Used successfully for many years in zoos, public aquariums and scientific institutions around the world.
How to use:
To achieve a salinity level of 32-35 ‰ (psu), dissolve 35 ml of Tropic Marin® Sea Salt CLASSIC per liter or approximately ½ cup of Tropic Marin® Sea Salt CLASSIC per US gallon water. Dissolve almost all of the salt in a clean container already filled with the full volume of RO/DI water at a temperature of 73-77 °F / 23-25 °C while circulating/stirring the water. Do not concentrate the mixture by adding the full amount of salt to a smaller amount of water.
Note: Always add the salt to the water, never the water to the salt. Making a concentrated mixture will cause a calcium carbonate precipitate to form.
When you have added ALMOST all of the salt and the mixture is fully dissolved and clear, start measuring the specific gravity with a hydrometer or similar instrument. Keep adding small amounts of salt until the specific gravity is the value you desire. The specific gravity of the sea salt solution should range from 1.025 to 1.027 (at 73-77 °F / 23-25 °C) and the pH -value should be in the range of 8.0 – 8.4. If all parameters are correct, the salt water is ready to use.
After setting up a new aquarium it takes a few weeks of water being circulated and correct lighting conditions to achieve the biologically stable environment required for the care and breeding of delicate marine organisms.
A weekly, partial water change, replacing 10 % of the total water volume with Tropic Marin® Sea Salt CLASSIC , will help to maintain the water quality that your livestock needs for good health.
Parameters: approx. 9-10° KH, calcium approx. 380 ppm, magnesium approx. 1260 ppm
Application: For fish only tanks and reef tanks with soft corals with no special requirements. To maintain the alkalinity in a 9-10 °dH range.

Product Description
Cichlid Lake Salt™ is a chemically sound blend of salts designed to replicate the natural environment of Rift Lake African Cichlids. It contains all physiologically essential elements such as magnesium, calcium, sodium, potassium, and includes trace components such as iron, aluminum, and iodide.
Although the major Rift Lakes contain basically the same mineral salts, they do so in greatly differing concentrations. Cichlid Lake Salt™ is formulated so that dosages vary depending on the lake of origin and need only be added when setting up an aquarium or with water changes. Many competing products are little more than combinations of Epsom salt and bicarbonate of soda. This will not provide a complete replication of the mineral salts that are contained in the lakes of Africa, in particular calcium and potassium. Seachem’s Tanganyika Buffer™ (pH 9.0–9.4) and Malawi/Victoria Buffer™ (pH 7.8–8.4) should be used to adjust carbonate hardness and pH.
Product Description
Seachem’s Brackish Salt™ is a chemically sound blend of salts designed to replicate the native environment of live bearers and other brackish estuary fish without adversely impacting aquatic plants when used at regionally specific recommended dosage. The salt is also well suited for routine aquarium freshwater use. It does not impact pH or provide buffering.
Unlike other aquarium salts currently available to the hobbyist, Brackish Salt™ is more than just a simple sodium chloride product. These other salts can burn leaves and roots in a planted aquarium. However, Brackish Salt™ does not cause this type of damage, and actually provides many nutrients crucial to healthy plant growth. Dosing of Brackish Salt™ allows for specific duplication of different brackish water environments found worldwide (such as the waters of Sumatra or the waters of Borneo). Brackish Salt™ can also be dosed for general brackish water community aquariums and general freshwater community aquarium. Brackish Salt™ is a safe and effective alternative to the sodium chloride based aquarium salts so prevalent
Direction
Use when setting up an aquarium and when making water changes. To add salt to an established tank, do so gradually. It is best to dissolve the salt in freshwater before use. Avoid using salt when simply replacing evaporated water.
For live bearers (such as guppies, swordtails, platies, some mollies), use 20 g (~1 tablespoon) for each 40 L (10 US gallons).
For estuary fish from the Yucatan or Sri Lanka (Archers, Chromides, some mollies), use 15 g (~2 teaspoons) for each 12 L (3 US gallons).
For estuary fish from Thailand, Cambodia, Borneo, or Sumatra (Datnioides), use 40 g (~2 tablespoons) per 12 L (3 US gallons).
For scats, use up to 80 g (~4 tablespoons) per 12 L (3 US gallons). This dose is not for planted aquaria.
For mixed populations, use an average dose, representative of species present. For specific information on your fish, check with your dealer or other reference source.
For general aquarium salt use (either for mineral replacement or disease control), use 20 g (~1 tablespoon) for each 40 L (10 US gallons).
