Product Description
Reef•Sculpture parts A & B, when used together and as directed are an ionically balanced calcium and alkalinity control system. Unlike many other products which will cause a buildup of chlorides or other ions, Reef•Sculpture will maintain seawater ratios of important ions. When used as directed it will maintain calcium and buffering capacity in the same ratio found in natural seawater. It contains no acetate, gluconates, polygluconates or other unnecessary organics to pollute your aquarium. It is phosphate and nitrate free.
Use in aquarium keeping.
Proper control of calcium level is imperative for the health and growth of corals and many other invertebrates. If the calcium concentration is too low, growth rates will suffer. If it is too high, alkalinity or buffering capacity will be diminished, leading to possible instability of pH. Sufficient magnesium levels are also necessary to maintain the proper balance. It is therefore recommended that the hobbyist measure and control the levels of calcium, magnesium and alkalinity on a regular basis. Strontium is also required for formation of aragonite. Continuum recommends that you maintain a calcium level of between 410 and 450 mg/L (ppm), an alkalinity level of 7 to 11 dKH (2.5 to 4 meq/L), and a magnesium level of 1250 to 1350 mg/L (ppm). Note: Aquarists keeping SPS corals should consider keeping alkalinity at 7 to no more than 9 dKH (2.5 to 3.21 meq/L). Do not add part A (or other calcium products) and part B or other buffering (alkalinity products) simultaneously, wait a few minutes and allow for plenty of circulation prior. This way you will avoid unnecessary precipitation and possible cloudiness.
Directions and protocol.
Shake well prior to use. Add 1 capful (5 ml) per 25 US-gallons (100 L) of marine aquarium water 3 to 4 times per week. For best results, measure the calcium concentration and add as required to maintain the concentration between 410 and 450 mg/L (ppm).
Expert use.
Dosing through use of a drip system is a superior method of addition. Two dosing systems are required to dose part A and part B. Do not mix part A with part B or buffers or alkalinity supplements prior to addition. You may mix it with strontium, calcium, and many other supplements. See our website for compatibility of supplements. Determine the amount of calcium consumption during the time it takes add the entire volume of your drip system. Determine the amount of Reef•Sculpture part A to add in milliliters by multiplying your tank capacity in gallons by the amount you want to raise it in mg/l (ppm) and by 0.0667. (Example: if you have a 100 gallon tank and you want to raise the level by 10 ppm with the entire dose, you would multiply 100 x 10 x 0.0667 which equals 66.7 ml of Reef•Sculpture part A or 13-1/3 capfuls).

Phos Correx Instant liquid phosphate remover for all marine and reef aquaria Features A technologically advanced, premium quality, maximum strength phosphate remover that immediately and safely begins to reduce the reactive phosphate present in a saltwater aquarium. It may be used on an ongoing basis to keep phosphate levels under control. Keeping a very low to immeasurable phosphate level is one way to keep a cleaner, more pristine aquarium.
Use in aquarium keeping It is not recommended that you add more than the dosage given in the directions, per day, so that you don’t irritate sensitive corals by reducing the phosphate level too rapidly.
Because Phos Correx precipitates the reactive phosphate by binding it, it will tend to cause cloudiness in the aquarium, which should be removed by mechanical filtration, and protein skimming and is temporary. It is not, however, meant to be used as a substitute to proper aquarium maintenance. Phosphate levels should be initially controlled by limiting the amount of food being used, controlling the types of foods added and treating any tap water by reverse osmosis, deionization or distillation to remove phosphates contained in the tap water prior to introduction into the aquarium. Growing macro algae will naturally utilize phosphates in the water, thereby reducing the phosphate level.
Directions Add 1 capful (5 ml) per 20 US gallons (50 L) of aquarium water to remove up to 1 ppm of phosphates. Add product near a mechanical filter or protein skimmer inlet. For best results:1) Test the phosphate level with a quality phosphate test kit. Add PhosCorrex as noted above, one capful per 20 US gallons per 1 ppm phosphate tested.2) It is not recommended that you add more than this even if the phosphate level is higher. Wait a day and treat again until the phosphate level is at your target.

Phyto•Blast is a nutritious complex of several naturally occuring marine phytoplankton in a wide range of sizes from 1 to 20 uM. Phyto•Blast is real phytoplankton, aquacultured in saltwater under pristine conditions, not simply a mixture of freshwater algae or ground up vegetables. It provides for growth and increased coloration, by providing proteins, naturally occuring lipids, including important omega fatty acids EPA and DHA, and a wide range of vitamins. It also contains chlorophyll, carotenoids, astaxanthin, zeaxanthin and canthaxanthin for coloration. Phyto•Blast does not require refrigeration, but refrigeration will prolong shelf life.
Use in aquarium keeping.
Phyto•Blast is useful for feeding hard and soft corals, sponges, filter feeding worms, tunicates and clams of all types. It is particularly suited for those that feed on microplankton. It is recommended that you turn off your protein skimmer and other filtration for 15 to 30 minutes prior to adding the Phyto•Blast to the aquarium. Be careful when feeding liquid foods, not to overload the system. It is recommended that you not add more than the recommended dosage of any food per day. Continuum recommends that the hobbyist vary the types and sizes of foods delivered into the reef aquarium. Other Continuum foods that make good choices for this food rotation include Coral Exponential, Micro•Blast, Zoo•Blast and Ocean Snow. Also, occasionallly blending the foods and using them as soaks for other foods will give your invertebrates a variety simulating nature. Vary the time of day for feeding, as well, being sure to feed at night for those organisms that primarily feed nocturnally. Many corals feed primarily at night, extending their tentacles and mesentarial filaments, using their nematocysts to capture prey, and entraping prey on their sticky tentacles with mucus and drawing it into their mouths.
Directions and protocol.
Shake well prior to use. Add 1 capful (5 ml) per 50 US-gallons (200 L) of marine aquarium water 2 to 3 times per week, in an area of high flow.
Expert use.
Target feeding is the best method of addition. Use a turkey baster, pipette, or similar tool to release upstream of animals to be fed. Do not touch corals with tool. Do not insert tool into this bottle, particularly do not allow aquarium water to enter the bottle, to do so will introduce bacteria into the product and accelerate its decomposition. Instead, pour appropriate amount of Phyto•Blast into a cup and use the tool in the cup. Feed all that you pour and do not return any product to the container (again to prevent contamination).
Product Description
Reef•Basis Iodide is a stabilized, safe iodide supplement, designed to nourish organisms that require iodine. It is particularly useful for soft corals of all kinds, particularly xenia, as well as gorgonians, hard corals, tunicates, marine worms such as feather dusters, sponges, macroalgae, and crustaceans, particularly shrimp. Growth rates in xenia and gorgonians will likely improve with it's use. It helps all corals and clams retain their coloration and shield against strong lighting. Reef•Basis Iodide contains no gluconate or polygluconate.
Use in aquarium keeping.
Iodine, while present in better salt mixes, is rapidly removed through ozone, skimming, carbon and other filtration and used up by inhabitants. It is necessary, therefore, to supplement it for maximum invertebrate and algae health, particularly if you have strong lighting. If you are propagating corals, be sure to use Coral Exponential TM to provide naturally ratioed amino acids for accelerated tissue growth along with Reef•Basis Calcium, Magnesium, and Strontium to provide proper minerals for aragonite growth. Also, use Coral Elements•N to add vitamins and trace minerals specifically designed for corals. Continuum recommends that you maintain about .04 to .06 mg/l (ppm) iodide level in your aquarium, if measuring.
Directions and protocol.
Shake well prior to use. Add 1 capful (5 ml) per 50 US-gallons (200 L) of marine aquarium water 2 to 3 times per week. Do not overdose!
Expert use.
Dosing through use of a drip system is a superior method of addition. You may mix it with buffers or alkaline supplements, but not with calcium, strontium and similar products. See our website for compatibility of supplements. Determine the amount of iodide consumption during the time it takes to add the entire volume of your drip system. Determine the amount of Reef•Basis Iodide to add in milliliters by multiplying your tank capacity in gallons by the amount you want to raise it in mg/l (ppm) and by 2.5. (Example: if you have a 50 gallon tank and you want to raise the level by .01 ppm with the entire dose, you would multiply 50 x .01 x 2.5 which equals 1.25 ml of Reef•Basis Iodide or about 1/4 capfuls). Continuum recommends that you maintain about .04 to .06 mg/l (ppm) iodide level in your aquarium.

Use in aquarium keeping.
Simultaneous use of Bacter•Gen M or Bacter•Clean M to establish and sustain growth of proper microorganisms and recycle aquarium nutrients will greatly benefit all algae and the ecosystem in general. The use of Reef Micro Fuel or Reef Bio Pellet•Fuel will provide additional carbon for heavy chaeto growth. Growth of all photosynthetic organisms also requires strong lighting of proper spectrum. Consult your lighting supplier for assistance in the proper type of light, and photo periods for the algae that you are growing. Be sure to ask lots of questions to get the very best lighting system for your aquarium.
Directions and protocol.
Shake well prior to use. Add 1 capful (5 ml) per 20 US-gallons (76 L) of reef aquarium water twice per week. Dosage may be split up and added more often.
Expert use.
ULNS aquariums and heavily loaded aquariums may require higher dosages to achieve low phosphate and nitrate levels. Experienced aquarists may add 1 capful (5 ml) per 20 US-gallons (76 L) 3 or 4 times per week, depending on chaeto density and growth rate.
Product Description
Reef Micro•Fuel is gentle on the system, it provides an alcohol free, non-flammable and sugar free rich carbon source for accelerated growth of bacterioplankton for food sources for corals and other invertebrates as well as for the crucial functions of nitrification, denitrification, nutrient assimilation and remineralization. Proper use of Reef Micro•Fuel will result in reduction of nitrates and phosphates to very low levels providing for a cleaner and more beautiful aquarium.
Use in aquarium keeping.
Reef Micro•Fuel works well, as a growth accelerator, for natural bacteria in the marine aquarium by stimulating reproduction, and particularly well with microbial cultures such as BacterGen•M or BacterGen•MD. It can be used in place of alcohol or other food sources in denitrators, as well. Continuum recommends that you consider using BacterGen•M regularly, along with the Reef Micro•Fuel to replenish and accelerate the growth and maintenance of both aerobic and anaerobic bacterial populations in your aquarium. This will reduce the levels of toxic ammonia, and nitrites, as well as phosphates and organic pollutants. BacterGen•MD is designed to be used primarily to establish and accelerate anaerobic bacterial populations in denitrators and live rock, helping to keep nitrates in check.
Directions and protocol.
Shake well prior to use. Always use this product with a well functioning protein skimmer (which can be turned off, if desired, upon initial addition, but should be re-started within a few hours of addition). Monitor phosphate and nitrate test readings during use. Add the following dosages depending on type of system:Normal Systems: Add 1 capful (5 ml) per 50 US-gallons (200 L) of marine aquarium water daily. When phosphate and nitrate test readings are basically immeasurable, lower dosage by 50%, and adjust up or down as needed to maintain proper levels.Low Nutrient Systems: Add 1 capful (5 ml) per 100 US-gallons (200 L) of marine aquarium water daily. Measure phosphate and nitrate levels and lower addition amounts until levels begin to rise. Adjust up or down as needed to maintain proper levels.
Product Description
ULNS Nitro is a complex inorganic nitrogen source designed to promote natural phosphorus uptake and nutrient control in ultra low nutrient systems which are nitrate limited. It provides an important nutrient source for nutrient assimilation and biological balance in the aquarium. It is recommended for use by advanced hobbyists. Bleaching or coral tissue degradation may occur in ULNS systems where adequate nutrient content is not maintained. ULNS systems depend on bacterial management of phosphate in a balanced carbon and nitrogen environment which allows rapid uptake of excess dissolved organic compounds. The conversion to bacterial biomass allows protein skimming to export unwanted nutrients that would otherwise build up in the system. This recycling of nutrients requires that all necessary nutrients, i.e. nitrogen, phosphorus, and carbon be present in concert.
Use in aquarium keeping.
For maximum results, Continuum recommends that you use this product with BacterGen•M, BacterGen•MD or BacterClean•M to keep microbe levels at optimum, along with Reef Micro•Fuel to replenish and accelerate the growth aerobic anaerobic, and facultative bacterial populations. If phosphorus ( or phosphate ) levels are too low, then also use Continuum ULNS Phos to boost them to the proper level. Caution, overuse or improper use of this product can promote unwanted algae growth!
Directions and protocol.
Shake well immediately prior to use. Do not overuse! Testing must be employed to use this product! First test nitrate and phosphate level. If nitrate level is below 3.0 ppm, proceed with use of this product. If phosphate level is below .01 ppm or undetectible, you will need to also use ULNS Phos together with this product.
Expert use.
Easy Calculations based on measured phosphate level: (Continuum recommends an nitrate level of 3.0 to 5.0 ppm in the aquarium.) To increase the nitrate level .50 ppm in the aquarium, you will add 5 ml of ULNS Nitro for every 25 gallons (100L) of aquarium capacity. The calculation is: ml of product = tank capacity in gallons x PPM of nitrate addition x 0.4 (Example: if you have a 100 gallon tank and you are raising the nitrate level by .5 ppm you would multiply 100 x .5 x .4 which equals 20.0 ml of ULNS Nitro or about 4 capfuls). Wait 24 hours and re-test Nitrate and Phosphate levels. If they are unchanged, then the system is carbon limited. In this case add Reef Micro•Fuel as directed on its bottle. Repeat these steps until phosphate level reaches .02 ppm and Nitrate is 3.0 to 5.0 ppm. If phosphate level reaches .02 ppm and nitrate level is below 3.0 ppm, then add more ULNS Nitro to bring it up.
