Product Description
Stability® will rapidly and safely establish the aquarium biofilter in freshwater and marine systems, thereby preventing the #1 cause of fish death: "new tank syndrome". Stability® is formulated specifically for the aquarium and contains a synergistic blend of aerobic, anaerobic, and facultative bacteria which facilitate the breakdown of waste organics, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. The bacteria employed by Stability® are non-sulfur fixing and will not produce toxic hydrogen sulfide. Stability® is completely harmless to all aquatic organisms as well as aquatic plants, thus there is no danger of over use.
Stability® is the culmination of nearly a decade of research and development and represents the current state of the art in natural biological management.
The bacteria used in competing products are inherently unstable. The conditions necessary for their growth and development fall into a very narrow range of temperatures, pH, organic loads, etc. When any of these parameters are not strictly within the proper range, the bacterial culture quickly crashes and dies. Stability® is not limited this way. The necessary conditions for the growth of Stability's™ bacteria strains encompass a very broad range. When other bacteria begin to die off (usually from high organic loads caused by the undetected death of an organism), Stability™ simply becomes more effective.
Directions
Shake well before use. Turn off UV/ozone. Use 1 capful (5 mL) for each 40 L (10 US gallons) on the first day with a new aquarium. Then use 1 capful for each 80 L (20 US gallons) daily for 7 days. Fish and other aquatic species may be introduced at any time as long as dosage is maintained for 7 days. For optimum biofilter performance use 1 capful for each 80 L (20 US gallons) once a month or with each water change and whenever introducing new fish or whenever medicating an aquarium. Product shelf life is 4 years from date of manufacture.
Stability® should ideally be used in conjunction with biological filtration such as Seachem Matrix™. For emergency ammonia control, use Seachem AmGuard™.
Product Description
Nearly all pet aquatics companies manufacture a product that removes chlorine. None of those, however, can compare in quality, concentration, or effectiveness to Seachem’s flagship product: Prime®. Prime® is the complete and concentrated conditioner for both fresh and saltwater. Prime® removes chlorine, chloramine and detoxifies ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. It is non-acidic and will not impact pH. A further bonus for the reef hobbyist—Prime® will not over-activate skimmers.
Prime® is up to 5x more concentrated than competing products and is the second most concentrated dechlorinator on the market only after our own aquavitro® alpha™.
Prime® may be used during tank cycling to alleviate ammonia/nitrite toxicity. It contains a binder which renders ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate non-toxic, allowing the biofilter to more efficiently remove them. It will also detoxify any heavy metals found in the tap water at typical concentration levels. Use at start-up and whenever adding or replacing water. When transporting or quarantining fish, use Seachem StressGuard™. When adding new fish, use Stability®. Both are ideal for use with Prime®.
Why It's Different Nearly all companies manufacture a product that removes chlorine.
None of those, however, can compare in quality, concentration, or effectiveness to Seachem’s flagship product: Prime.
Prime is the second most concentrated dechlorinator on the market after aquavitro alpha.
A single 100 mL bottle will treat 1000 US gallons of tap water. Prime will remove both chlorine and chloramines from municipal water supplies. Prime also contains a binder which renders ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate non-toxic. It is very important to understand how those two functions work together.
All dechlorinators operate through a chemical process known as reduction. In this process, toxic dissolved chlorine gas (Cl2) is converted into non-toxic chloride ions (Cl-).
The reduction process also breaks the bonds between chlorine and nitrogen atoms in the chloramine molecule (NH2Cl), freeing the chlorine atoms and replacing them with hydrogen (H) to create ammonia (NH3).
Typically, dechlorinators stop there, leaving an aquarium full of toxic ammonia!
Seachem takes the necessary next step by including an ammonia binder to detoxify the ammonia produced in the reduction process.
Be very careful when purchasing water conditioners. If your municipality includes chloramines in the water supplies, a standard sodium thiosulfate dechlorinator is not enough.
Prime promotes the natural production and restoration of the slime coat rather than relying on artificial or non-native slime compounds.
A further bonus for the reef hobbyist—Prime will not overactivate protein skimmers.
Directions
Use 1 capful (5 mL) for each 200 L (50 gallons*) of new water. This removes approximately 1 mg/L ammonia, 4 mg/L chloramine, or 5 mg/L chlorine.
For smaller doses, please note each cap thread is approx. 1 mL. May be added to aquarium directly, but better if added to new water first.
If adding directly to aquarium, base dose on aquarium volume. Sulfur odor is normal.
For exceptionally high chloramine concentrations, a double dose may be used safely.
To detoxify nitrite in an emergency, up to 5 times normal dose may be used.
If temperature is > 30 °C (86 °F) and chlorine or ammonia levels are low, use a half dose.

Product Description
Seachem Amguard detoxifies toxic Ammonia for 48 hours. High levels of Ammonia can be lethal to fish.
Seachem AmGuard
Detoxifies Ammonia for up to 48 hours
Ideal for emergency situations
More effective than any other ammonia-binding product
Most concentrated product on the market
AmGuard safely, rapidly and efficiently removes toxic free ammonia. It is safe to use during tank cycling and is ideal for treating emergency situations.
AmGuard is the strongest liquid ammonia binder on the market. It works within minutes to detoxify free ammonia, and it doesn’t degrade for nearly forty-eight hours. That’s nearly twice as long as our competitor's products.
Unlike competing products, AmGuard converts it into a safe, non-toxic form that is readily removed by the tank’s biofilter. It does not alter pH.
Ammonia can exist in two forms: free and ionised. It is only the free form that is toxic.
Traditional ammonia test kits convert all ammonia to free ammonia by raising pH to 12–14; at this pH AmGuard cannot function and thus a false positive reading will result.
For long term ammonia control, use Seachem Stability and Matrix. Use Ammonia Alert or MultiTest: Free & Total Ammonia to directly monitor levels of free ammonia. AmGuard also removes chlorine and chloramines.
Directions
Use 1 capful (5 mL) for every 200 L (50 US gallons) daily or as needed to reduce ammonia.
ADVANCED:
If you have an Ammonia Alert that is reading “Alert”, then use 1 capful (5 mL) for every 400 L (100 gallons) daily.
If it reads “Alarm”, then use 1 capful for every 200 L (50 gallons) daily.
If it reads “Toxic”, then use 1 capful for every 80 L (20 gallons) daily.
EXPERT:
If using our MultiTest: Free & Total Ammonia test kit, use 1 capful (5 mL) for every 40 L (10 gallons) to remove 1 mg/L (ppm) of free ammonia.
Alternatively you may employ the following formula for a variety of ammonia and water levels: 0.125AV=m (for volume in litres) or 0.5AV=m (for volume in gallons).
A=ammonia concentration in mg/L, V=the volume of water being treated and m=the volume of AmGuard to use in mL. For example, to remove 1 mg/L of ammonia in 100 gallons you would use 0.5*1*100=50 mL.
If water temperature is above 30 °C (86 °F) do not use.
Product Description

AQUA ESSENTIAL water conditioner is a highly concentrated all-in-one water conditioner that instantly makes tap water safe for fish by removing chlorine, chloramine and detoxifies heavy metals commonly found in tap water. AQUA ESSENTIAL water conditioner instantly removes toxic ammonia, nitrate and nitrite levels in freshwater, saltwater and planted aquariums. Toxic ammonia continually released by fish through their gills, urine and solid waste. Uneaten food and decaying organic matter also add ammonia. Small amounts of ammonia stress fish; large amounts of ammonia will kill fish. This unique formula binds with ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate rendering them non-toxic and allowing the biofilter to more efficiently remove them.
Use at start-up and whenever adding or changing water or when tested levels of ammonia, nitrates or nitrite are high. When adding, transporting or quarantining fish, we recommend using API STRESS COAT™ water conditioner which is ideal for use with AQUA ESSENTIAL water conditioner.
Instructions
Using dosing cap on bottle, add 5 ml. per 50 gallons of aquarium water to treat tap water. Add 5 ml. per 10 gallons of aquarium water to remove ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. We advise you to wait 24 hours after dosing then do a water change. If you dose within that 24 hour period there is no danger to the animals/plants in your aquarium. A follow-up water change is always beneficial to an aquatic system.

Product Description
Pristine™ uses bio-augmentation, a non-chemical and natural method, to improve water quality. It provides bacteria that break down excess food, waste and detritus in freshwater and marine systems. It will also reduce excess nutrients (e.g. ammonia, nitrates, and nitrites) that may fuel the growth of nuisance and disease-causing organisms. Pristine™ increases water clarity and promotes overall better health for the aquatic environment.
The bacteria species in Pristine™ thrive in fresh or salt water and can utilize a wide range of organic compounds, including fats that can cause unsightly films. Unlike traditional nitrifying bacteria, this bacterial blend can adapt to harsh or low oxygen environments and continue to multiply and improve water conditions. Biopolymers produced by established bacterial colonies trap particulates and increase water clarity.
Directions
Shake well before use. Turn off UV/ozone. Use 1 capful (5 mL) for each 40 L (10 US gallons). Then use a maintenance dose of 1 capful (5 mL) per 80 L (20 US gallons) with additions of livestock or the disruption of the biofilter through cleaning or medications. Antibiotics should be removed with fresh carbon and a water change before adding bacteria. Allow 2 or 3 days for the bacteria to become established before using UV sterilizers or ozone. Recurring problems with high nutrients can indicate overstocking, overfeeding or inadequate filtration.
Product shelf life is 4 years from date of manufacture.
