Product Description
NPX Bioplastics® granular media made from biodegradable polymers. For use in a fluidized reactor. The slow release of organic food from these plastics promotes the development of bacteria that assimilate nitrate and phosphate. These bacteria can be harvested by protein skimmers, so that the nitrate and phosphate levels are naturally reduced. The bacteria are also a food source for filter-feeding invertebrates such as corals, clams, sponges, and feather dusters.

Seachem Zeolite™ is a naturally occurring, highly-porous mineral that binds ammonia and heavy metals through an ion exchange mechanism. It has the highest ammonia binding capacity of any available zeolite; ten times higher than some products and twice the capacity of the closest competitor. It won’t deplete calcium in saltwater, and it won’t increase general hardness in freshwater, where the ionic strength is low.
Sizes: 100 mL, 250 mL, 500 mL, 1 L, 2 L, 4 L
Direction:
For best results, Seachem Zeolite™ should be rinsed before use and placed so as to maximize the flow of water through it but not so that it tumbles against itself in flow. It may be used in a canister filter, media chamber, box filter, or any high flow area of a trickle filter. Use of a filter bag such as Seachem’s The Bag™ or Zip Bag™ is recommended.
Use 250 mL (1 cup) of Seachem Zeolite™ for every 200 L (50 US gallons). For smaller aquariums, the equivalent dose is 5 mL (1 level teaspoon) per 4 L (1 US gallon). This amount of Seachem Zeolite™ will remove up to 0.5 mg/L ammonia. Monitor ammonia levels, which should drop to zero within 24-48 hours. At this point, the zeolite can be removed or replaced with activated carbon, such as Seachem MatrixCarbon™. For heavy metals removal, leave in service and replace monthly. For long term ammonia control, use Seachem Stability® and Matrix™.

Chemi-pure can be used with all water types as a chemical absorption filter and ion generator and exchange unit to positively keep pH at a perfect constant level. Also fantastic for use with African Cichlids and Discus! Needs replacement only every six months under normal circumstances. Use 1 unit up to 40 gallons, 2 units from 40 to 100 gallons, above 100 gallons add one unit for every 25 gals. 10oz. Soft corals - Crustose Coralline Algaes - Caulerpas - Gorgonias - Seafans - other invertebrates and fish of all species thrive and grow luxuriously with no water change necessary using real seawater or the better imported mixes. This is not a claim, but fact, experienced by thousands of CHEMI-PURE users. In fact, salt water fish have spawned repeatedly in 5 year old water. CHEMI-PURE does not remove trace elements and is the only filter medium which aids in the natural balance of positive and negative charges, with an emphasis on the beneficial negative ion.
CHEMI-PURE comes packed in pure polyester filter bags in sealed plastic bottles, called 1 unit, one of which is recommended for up to 40 gallons of water, and which is completely active for 4-6 months with no `regeneration` or cleaning required and is cheaper than carbon or pads. The one filtration product we unreservedly recommend for use with CHEMI-PURE is the Poly-Filter, by Poly-Bio Marine! Use one pad above and one below the CHEMI-PURE bag. We also recommend the use of foam fractionation or "protein skimmers."

Product Description
Our Coral Essentials Activated Carbon is an ultra-high grade, bituminous carbon, in a handy 2L bucket. It is a virgin activated carbon in pelletised form, typical size 4-5mm diameter and 6-7mm long. Derived from bituminous coal, its high activity and extreme surface area (due to the activation manufacturing process) make it ideal for marine aquarium filtration applications. For aquaria, carbon can be sourced from animal bones, peat, coconut shells, wood and bituminous or lignite coal. For filters, it’s generally accepted that carbon made from bituminous coal is far and away much superior. In fact, it’s the first choice for human drinking water purifiers the world over. Our Coral Essentials Activated Carbon is made purely from Bituminous coal and far superior to all other carbon. Our activated carbon is excellent at removing organic chemicals from the water. The two chemicals that carbon excels at pulling from tanks are phenols and tannins. These are produced from a variety of sources, including the metabolic waste of fish and coral, the breakdown and decomposition of faeces, plants and uneaten food, and many more. It is also excellent at the removal of chlorine, chloramine and some heavy metals.
Available in 2L bucket.
Product Description
SeaGel™ is a blend of MatrixCarbon™ and PhosGuard™ and is is optimized specifically for aquaria where organic color body and acid removal is required without the introduction of phosphate. MatrixCarbon™ is an ultracapacity carbon for the removal of organic and color impurities. PhosGuard™ is a powerful remover of phosphate, silicate, toxic metals, and acids. Both components are bead shaped for optimum water flow characteristics and penetration. The components enhance each other and are ideal for reef and marine use. SeaGel™ may also be used in freshwater that is not phosphate buffered.
Although MatrixCarbon™ has the lowest detectable leachable phosphate content of all major carbon brands tested, some phosphate is still released. Adding PhosGuard™ to the mix compensates for this. Both components are bead shaped for optimum water flow characteristics and penetration. The components enhance each other and are ideal for reef and marine use.
For best results, SeaGel™ should be rinsed before use and placed in your filter so as to maximize the flow of water through it. Use caution, since product will fizz and heat on initial wetting. Use 250 mL for each 150–225 L (40–60 US gallons). Use in a filter bag such as Seachem’s The Bag™ or Zip Bag™. SeaGel™ will function 3–4 months.
Product Description
Renew™ is ideal for use in systems where phosphate released from all activated carbons poses a problem. Renew™ is also less aggressive than carbon, making it well suited for reefs and planted aquaria. It is also beneficial for use in soft water aquaria where the pH-raising property of many carbons is not an asset. Renew™ will remove organics and particulates in the sub-micron range; it will also help control ammonia, nitrates, and phosphates.
Sizes: 100 mL, 250 mL, 500 mL, 1 L, 2 L, 4 L
Renew™ should be used in exactly the same manner as activated carbon. Use 250 mL for each 120–160 L (30–40 US gallons). For best results, Renew™ should be placed so as to maximize the flow of water through it. Use in a filter bag such as the Zip Bag™. Although Renew™ is clean, it is advisable to rinse before use. It lasts about the same as carbon (4–6 weeks).
