  • Salifert pH Test Kit

    Salifert pH Test Kit

Product Description If the pH is too low then the cause may be a too low alkalinity and/or insufficient aeration. A low pH can be corrected by improving aeration and by increasing the alkalinity to NSW (Natural seawater) value or upto approx 25% above NSW levels. The Salifert pH test kit is sufficiently accurate to monitor pH fluctuations of approx 0.2 pH units. Our KH + pH Buffer allows fast and efficient correction of alkalinity. Approx. 50 tests per kit. Range pH 7.4 - 8.6. The pH value can have a major impact on the growth of corals and calcareous algae and on many biological processes. The pH should not be allowed to fluctuate more than approx. 0.3 units during 24 hours and should preferably be kept between 8.0 and 8.2.

Hanna - (HI780-25) Marine pH Checker Reagents - 100 Tests

Product Description The HI780-25 are high-quality reagents that are pre-measured, allowing for users to achieve fast and accurate measurements with their Marine pH Checker® HC. These reagents follow the Phenol Red method in which the reagents produce a range of color that is pH-dependent. By simply adding 5 drops from the bottle of the reagent to the sample, the reaction between the sample and reagent causes a tint in the sample that varies from yellow to red. The intensity of the colour is determined by a compatible photometer and the concentration will be displayed. The results will be displayed in pH units with a resolution of 0.1 pH. Get your replacement reagents for your HI780 Marine pH Checker® HC today. These high-quality reagents are manufactured in our state-of-the-art facility and are clearly marked with the lot number and expiration date on each packet for traceability. • Hanna - (HI782) Marine Nitrate High Range Checker

Hanna - (HI782) Marine Nitrate High Range Checker

Product Description The HI782 Marine Nitrate High Range Colorimeter is specifically designed to quickly and accurately determine high levels of nitrate for saltwater aquariums and marine applications. With a digital read out, there is no more struggling to determine colors visually. • Measurements with a range up to 75.0ppm• Less complex laboratory grade accuracy - Requires only 1 reagent• Simple, intuitive digital operation• Compact and precise whether at home, at work, or on-the-go Nitrate is the final step in the Nitrogen cycle. Excessive amounts of nitrates in saltwater aquariums facilitate the growth of undesirable organisms such as algae and dinoflagellates. The HI782 is a simple, accurate, and cost-effective way to measure nitrate from 0.0 to 75.0 ppm (as NO3–) in your saltwater aquarium. The HI782 Nitrate Checker HC uses the Zinc Reduction method to measure the concentration of nitrate colorimetrically. The HI782 provides quick, accurate results in four easy steps. Features at-a-glance: For use with saltwater samples. More accurate than chemical test kits. Dedicated to a single parameter. Small size, big convenience. No errors with a digital readout. Ideal for aquariums and marine biology applications. HI782 High Range Nitrate Checker vs HI781 Low Range Nitrate Checker The HI782 was designed to quickly and easily measure nitrate levels for aquarists with higher-than-average nutrient levels. This includes saltwater aquariums that are fish-only or have corals that can tolerate elevated levels of nitrate at 30 ppm or more.Very low levels of nitrate are critical for many saltwater reef aquariums, as nitrate can cause damage and possible death to certain delicate corals and invertebrates. For this reason, the HI781 offers unmatched precision in the measurement of very low levels of nitrate (0.00 to 5.00 ppm).  Specification Name Detail SKU HI781 Range 0.00 to 5.00 ppm (as NO₃ – ) Resolution 0.01 ppm Accuracy @ 25°C/77°F ±0.25 ppm ±2% of reading @ 25 °C (77 °F) Light Source LED @ 525 nm Light Detector silicon photocell Method Colorimetric method.
