Product Description
Synthetic marine salt for aquariums with fish and less delicate corals and invertebrates. When setting up new aquariums it is recommended that the first animals are placed no sooner than 10-14 days after filling the aquarium. After dissolving the salt, freshly prepared marine water can be user immediately.
Instructions for use:Dissolve the salt in previously prepared demineralised water. Water temperature should be about 24°C (75°F). For salinity of 30 ppt dissolve about 3.25 kg (7.16 lbs) of salt in 100 litres (27 US gal) of water. Stir the solution vigorously for about 15 min. When the salt is fully dissolved and the solution clear the saline water is ready to use. Keep the salt in a dry and dark place. Once Dissolved, use the salt within 5 days. Keep out of reach of children! Product for aquarium use only! Reef Salt is not suitable for human consumption! Safety data sheet available on request.
Parameters of a salt are presented below:
24°C / 75.2°F
Mg – 1200-1300 mg/l
Ca – 360-400 mg/l
K – 300-350 mg/l
dKH – 8,0-9,0
pH – 8,0-8,2
Aquaforest products are manufactured in the EU under strict laboratory supervision to meet the highest quality standards. Each product is prepared from carefully selected raw components in quantities proven to yield consistent compositi on.
How is our Marine Salt product range tested? We mix our Marine Salt in 1 metric tonne (2204lb) batches, and 3 separate samples per batch are collected during the production stage for testi ng. Each of these samples is dissolved in 15 litres (4US gal) of RO water. Our experienced team of professionals perform ICP-OES analysis to verify that the chemical compositi on is within consistent range, and to rule out the presence of unwanted contaminants at the same ti me. Note: Even though our salt is thoroughly mixed, not every bucket/box will be identi cal. The parameters can vary slightly between containers and around a 2-3% variation is acceptable. This fl uctuati on is a result of both physical properties of the mix and the limitati ons of the processing techniques available. These variations are still smaller than the typical margin for error for popular hobbyist test kits.

NEW MODEL! NEW DESIGN!!!
A fluidising reactor, intended for use with different types of filter media, It works perfectly as a reactor for Phosphate Absorbers, Activated Carbon and Zeolites. Thanks to the compact dimensions, it can be used both internally in the sump or externally. The Reactor is made entirely from high quality – 100% acrylic, making it resistant to damage and discolouration. We used a silicone seal which protects the filter against leakage. Inside the filter are sponges with a special fixture to prevent deformation of the internal sponge – it prevents also the passage of filter medium outside the filter housing (important in the case of resins or absorbers – like GFO). Important thing is also that our media reactors are very solid and nicely made. We recommend the use of 3 Aquaforest Media, Zeo Mix, Carbon and Phosphate Minus in combination.
3 SIZES TO MEET YOUR NEEDS
AquaForest AF Series Media Reactors are available in 3 sizes: Small (AF90), Medium (AF110), and Large (AF150). Although the Large AF150 reactor is only 15 cm (5.91 inches) taller than the Small AF90, it has 350 times the media storage capacity!

Aquaforest give accurate results when testing Magnesium - test kit will give 55-60 tests per kit.Magnesium Test KitAquaforest TestPro Magnesium is designed to quickly measure the concentration of Magnesium (Mg) in marine water.
Magnesium plays an important role in many biological processes, e.g. takes part in the construction of hard coral’s calcium carbonate skeleton.
Due to its unique chemical properties it has significant impact on seawater buffering capacity, and also prevents excessive precipitation of calcium carbonate on aquarium equipment.
Adequate level of Magnesium is crucial in maintaining proper Calcium and Alkalinity balance in reef aquaria.
Mg levels should be analysed regularly, together with other critical water parameters like Calcium and Alkalinity.
The concentration of Magnesium in natural seawater is between 1260-1460 mg/l (ppm). Test Kit contains sufficient reagents to perform approx.
55-60 separate tests within that range.

Reef aquariums are complex and often fragile ecosystems that thrive on stability to succeed. Daily fluctuations in carbon dioxide (CO2) levels in the air caused by normal breathing, pets, and cooking can all impact the aquarium’s pH. The higher the concentration of CO2 the skimmer pulls in, the greater the acidification of the water, often resulting in a drop in pH, unstable dKH, and significantly inhibited coral calcification. Overtime, this could lead to stressed corals’ and even the loss of that coral. For proper development, corals require a stable pH of 8.1-8.4.
When the lights are on, photosynthesis is occurring to help stabilize the aquarium’s pH. At night, however, the pH drops as oxygen demand increases. This is especially true during autumn and winter, when windows are often closed and rooms less ventilated. This is the ideal time to begin using the AF Air Scrubber Medium to support a stable reef aquarium.
AF Air Scrubber Medium helps preventing harmful fluctuations in parameters caused by low water pH. The medium is a white, dry pellet. It tightly fills the filter chamber, while allowing air flow. As a result, it perfectly absorbs carbon dioxide. Used and replaced regularly, it guarantees stable pH in the aquarium.
According to our tests, the AF Air Scrubber Medium can raise the pH ~0.2 – 0.4 degrees and its stabilization in the range of 8.0 – 8.4. We recommend using the AF Air Scrubber Medium together with the AF Air Scrubber filter. This configuration ensures the most effective removal of CO2 from the air drawn in by the skimmer. The color changing medium wears out gradually, easily indicating when to replace the cartridge. We recommend replacing it before the color changes completely. The cartridge is meant for single use, cannot be regenerated and reused. Its saturation with carbon dioxide can be recognized by the pellet color. When the cartridge turns purple it means that it absorbed carbon dioxide. Only original CO2 filter cartridges ensure their uninterrupted operation and the highest efficiency. In order to obtain optimal and long-lasting filtration, it is recommended to use AF Air Scrubber Medium together with a dedicated AF Air Scrubber filter.
Key features
Excellent CO2 absorption properties
Effectively raises the pH level
Supports the condition and growth of corals
Prevents pH fluctuations in a saltwater aquarium
Indicator of the degree of wear
Easy to use
The highest quality product, completely safe for fish and corals
Important
We recommend replacing media when it changes the color or when your pH levels start to drop
One package is a full AF Air Scrubber reactor refill
AF Air Scrubber Media can be used together with Carbon
If used up media is left inside the reactor too long, it can change color again, but it is no longer effective at removing CO2 from the air
When changing out the media, it is best to wear gloves and do it in a well-ventilated space
Keep away from children. Product for aquarium use only. Not suitable for human consumption. Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct light.
